Zabielski to helm 'Police Academy' redo
Longtime "Tosh." helmer Scott Zabielski could make his feature directorial debut with New Line's remake of "Police Academy." Zabielski outshine several more skillful helmers for your coveted comedy gig, the director is ideal for, getting experienced actual police academy training just like a reserve officer in West Hollywood. David Gem and David Weissman written the script, while original "Police Academy" producer Paul Maslansky will return to result in the remake. New Lines will probably start production this year, though they'll must find a cast first. The first 1984 "Police Academy" opened up up atop el born area office where it continued to be for three days before losing for the second slot. However, it acquired the most effective place throughout its fifth and sixth weekends and shown to own legs with the summer season, grossing greater than $81 million in your area despite never using greater than 1,587 screens. Zabielski started his career becoming an editor on "Beauty as well as the Geek" and "Talkshow with Spike Feresten." He's repped by UTA and Undercover Films and Management.
