Some people; mostly white people who have never read comics, are upset
that the leading actor in green lantern is a white male. If you
remember the original green lantern was Hal Jordan. A white guy. But I
guess a white guy being best and brightest just isn't realistic enough
for them.
I think it's a good idea to choose Ryan Renolds. A white hero has a
chance to reach more audience members than one who represents only a
small percentage of US population.
